The Illinois International Accounting Symposium will be held in Limassol, Cyprus June 8 – 10, 2017 jointly with The International Journal of Accounting, the University of Cyprus and Cyprus University of Technology. There is no particular theme for the symposium.
Submission to the Symposium
Authors are invited to submit research papers for presentation. Submitted papers will be reviewed anonymously, and the Program Scientific Committee will select up to seven papers for presentation based on the comments of the reviewers, the quality of the work and the potential for contributing to the literature. There is no submission fee.
The deadline for submissions is January 31, 2017.
Papers are to be submitted electronically through Elsevier’s submission platform, EVISE. Manuscripts submitted elsewhere will not be considered. Click Here to Submit.
The travel cost and the cost of lodging for four nights will be reimbursed (up to US $2,000 in total) based on receipts for one author and one discussant for each accepted paper. Normally, accepted papers for the symposium have higher chances of getting published in The International Journal of Accounting, but that decision will depend on the results of one review of the revised draft after the symposium is held.
Attendance for the Symposium is open to all, first-come, first-serve until we reach 100 registrants.
For the first time, we will also be holding a doctoral consortium on Thursday, June 8 to assist up to 25 Ph.D. students in the development of their dissertations. Interested Ph.D. students should email Kacie Jones, firstname.lastname@example.org, by March 1, 2017.
